CEO JEZCO OIL LIMITED PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO UNIZIK VICE CHANCELLOR, PROF. ESIMONE

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer JEZCO Oil Limited, Chief Sir Dr. J.J Ezeokafor on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles O. Esimone, FAS.

Chief Ezeokafor stated that the courtesy visit is to congratulate the UNIZIK Vice Chancellor on his emergence as the 6th substantive Vice Chancellor of the institution and his one year celebration in office as well as to rekindle the already existing symbiotic relationship between him, his company and the refutable Federal Institution.

Chief Ezeokafor stated his willingness to partner and support the University in all sectors, he highlighted the Agriculture sector as an area he wants to invest in especially now that the Faculty of Agriculture are set to move to Ifite Ogwari and moreso with the present Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ernest Igwe, being a long time friend of his. Reacting, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ernest Igwe, who led the delegation for the visit to UNIZIK Vice Chancellor described Chief Ezeokafor as an established International figure who has distinguished himself in his chosen path of career metamorphosing into huge successes recorded with JEZCO Oil. The scholar stated that the newest and one of the strongest friends of the University is a goal getter.

In his reaction, UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone FAS, stated that the visit was unique having heard about Chief Ezeokafor and his success story, he highlighted that the University needed support and is willing to partner firms, organizations and public spirited individuals who have keen interest in the Education sector. Prof. Esimone also revealed that the University upon getting a Federal status in 1992 is yet to get its statutory takeoff grant which would be instrumental for its development and growth. The Professor of Forensic Pharmacy, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Microbiology congratulated Chief Ezeokafor for the gift of a Rolls Royce Car from his eldest son on the occasion of his birthday celebration.

The founding Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Governing Council member and Special Adviser to the Vice Chancellor on Land Resources Management, Prof. Peter Nnabude, in a vote of thanks eulogized Chief Ezeokafor for thinking it wise to partner with the institution stating that he is hopeful that the relationship established between his firm and the institution would be fruitful. In company of Chief Ezeokafor on the courtesy visit were his two sons, members of management and directors of JEZCO Oil Limited, Political Office holders representing their wards from Chief Ezeokafor’s constituency and his personal assistant.
