The Faculty of Engineering is one of the thirteen faculties at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The Faculty\'s academic departments undertake research and training across a wide range of disciplines. Its Departments are: Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering Chemical EngineeringElectrical EngineeringElectronics & Computer Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Mat. Engineering, Polymer & Textile Technology, Production TechnologyIts academic programme encompass  the regular Bachelor Degree(B.Eng) programme, Post Graduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate Degrees. (i)         Objectives

The objectives of the Faculty are:

(a)        To produce engineers with high academic and practical background.

(b)        To produce engineers who, with the background in (a) above, would, as problem solvers and product engineers, translate their knowledge into practical and meaningful products relevant to the technological advancement of the country.

 (ii)        Admission Requirements

(a)        Admission through University Matriculation Examination (UME). Candidates are required to possess five “O” level credits obtained in not more than two sittings to include English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; 

(b)        Direct   Entry:

Candidates should possess “A” level in any two of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.     Candidates who hold the OND with at least upper credit in the relevant subjects may be considered for admission.

                                                  

 (iii)       Duration of Programs:

(a)        UME Entrants:     Five years

(b)        Direct Entrants:    Four years.
