Vision and Mission Statement

The mission of the faculty is to use teaching, public services and research to solve societal problems. In the process of learning, students would be oriented to use education in the solution of practical problems confronting them both in the Nigerian society and the whole world at large.

In line with the mission of the University, the faculty aims at producing graduates who possess the under-listed attributes:

• The zeal for more education, all round, life –long education and creativity in Science and technology.
• To accept all obligations and responsibilities.
• To have self –reliant, self confidence and result –oriented ability to be able to cope with the global changes in the society.
• To accept moral values such as high ethical standards, professionalism, humility, truthfulness, honesty and excellence.
• To have the ability to reason logically.
• To have a wide and ordered knowledge in the discipline of their choice.
• To have the ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing to enable them compete with the outside world.
• To be numeracy and computer oriented 

Its departments are: Computer Science,Geological Sciences,Mathematics,Physics and Industrial Physics, Pure and Industrial Chemistry and Statistics.
